History:
Seder Foods is a family-owned food distributor established 75 years ago in the Central Mass community of Webster. The company is presently managed by Ed Greenbaum, third generation member of the founding family, and located in the rural Western Massachusetts Town of Palmer. Ed moved the business to its current 175,000 square foot facility in 1979.
Seder and its affiliated in-house trucking company J.E.M. Transport, employ a total of 60 people. Many of these individuals, in various capacities, have been with Seder since 1979 or shortly thereafter.
Biography:
Seder Foods, is a family owned grocery wholesaler with Fifty Million dollars in current annual sales. The current CEO, Ed Greenbaum, is supported by an experienced management team of industry professionals, who are totally committed to exceeding our retailers’ service expectations. Seder Foods was established in 1930 in the Central Massachusetts community of Webster. Our customer base consists of independent grocery retailers, prison commissaries and correctional institutions located throughout the east coast and a diverse network of C-store distributors.
Market Area:
The company has broadened its marketing radius over the past decade expanding to much of the Northeast corridor. Seder delivers its products via J.E.M. Transport in clean, modern, state of the art Tractor-Trailers, all equipped with the latest refrigeration systems which are set up for combination loads of both perishable and non-perishable products. Under special conditions, we are able to supply smaller vehicles to meet customers’ particular delivery needs. Currently we serve 400 accounts in eight states.
